PicoTDC devices Samples requests, questions and orders can be direclty addressed using the generic contact email below.
CERN has now in stock a large number of devices, devices can be easily provided for CERN groups and collaborating institutes through TID.
Firms or academic projects which do not have collaboration agreement with CERN shall after-end contact CERN Knowledge Transfer group in order to etablish a license. (link)

We developped and make available 2 boards which allows testing and developping with the PicoTDC. Those boards are based on the VITA-57 standard (or FMC) which is widely used on the latest Xilinx FPGA evaluation boards. To complete the setup you need :
an ultra low-jitter 40 MHz differential clock. It can come from an instrument or from a PLL chip evaluation board like the Si5341 from Skyworks. a FMC carrier - typically a FPGA evaluation board with at least 1 FMC connector which supports 1.

Description The PicoTDC is a specially developed 64 channel Time to Digital Converter (TDC) ASIC in 65nm CMOS for use in High Energy Physics (HEP) experiments and similar scientific applications where high rate, very high time resolution single shot time mesurements are required on a large number of channels. It is a succesor to the HPTDC chip that over the last 15 years has been used extensively within HEP and other domains.

How to update this site Clone the repository from https://gitlab.cern.ch/picotdc/picotdc-website
Create or update page in /content The top menu is defined in the config.toml The site is powered by Hugo: https://gohugo.io/getting-started/quick-start/
Having Hugo and the Theme properly installed, you can test the pages by running a local server from the command line:
hugo server Then commit and push your modifications, Gitlab CI/CD will compile with Hugo and copy the website files to the EOS www folder.
